Nestled in the picturesque south-west side of the Cotswold escarpment, Dyrham and Hinton are two charming villages just over a mile apart. These villages, with a combined population of 296, form the civil parish governed by the Dyrham and Hinton Parish Council and the South Gloucestershire Council. Our parish, rich in history and natural beauty, is located conveniently within the south-west quadrant of the M4/A46 junction, in the south-east of South Gloucestershire, England.

Once part of the Blathwayt Estate, centered on the Manor House of Dyrham, the parish has evolved over the centuries. Today, Dyrham and Hinton are vibrant communities with a mix of historical and modern homes, many of which are Grade II listed, set against the backdrop of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Despite the loss of some facilities over time, our parish still boasts essential amenities and retains its essential character. St. Peter’s Church, a pub in Hinton, and the pub in Tolldown are the remaining traditional landmarks that continue to serve the community.
